Arunachal Karate-Do Association (AKA) was
formed and established in the year 1994 with its Head Office at
Naharlagun, under Papum Pare District of Arunachal Pradesh and
thereafter it was Registered under Section 3 of the Societies
Registration Act,1860 [As modified by the Societies Registration
(Extension to Arunachal Pradesh) Act, 1978. Arunachal Karate-Do
Association (AKA) soon got its affiliation as a member of Arunachal
Olympic Association (AOA) and also got its recognition and affiliation
from the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Govt. of Arunachal
Pradesh and was given financial assistance annually and became the one
and only Karate Association of the State of Arunachal Pradesh to
manage, control, supervise and carry on all the State Level Karate
Championships/Games and/or any other Karate programmes and select
and send players for National and International Championships/Games.
Pursuant to the same Arunachal Karate-Do Association (AKA) is the
only State Body/Association who deserves to be affiliated under the
National Sports Federation (NSF) for Karate.
In its tireless journey since the days of its inception, Arunachal
Karate-Do Association (AKA) is dedicatedly serving and conducting
numerous Karate Programmes, Games, Championships etc. and have
sent players from the State of Arunachal in the National Level
Championships, who brought laurels for the State.
During the passage of time, numerous developments have been
made in Indian Sports from time to time and accordingly the
introduction of National Sports Development Code of India (NSDCI)
for good governance and transparency of Sports Organization and the
adaptation of its basic features by the Indian Olympic Association
(IOA) has made it necessary to amend the Constitution of Arunachal
Karate-Do Association (AKA) and for the greater interest of the Karate
Sports in the State of Arunachal Pradesh, the Executive Council of
AKA has decided and resolved to amend its Constitution and
unanimously appointed Mr. Indranil Gogoi, Advocate, Gauhati High
Court, as the Chairman of the Drafting Committee and Mr. Ashok
Kumar Ray and Ms. Tanushree Das, both are Advocate of Gauhati High
Court and Mr. Tai Hipik, Secretary, Arunachal Karate-Do Association
(AKA) as Members and Mr. Likha Tara, President of Arunachal Karate-
Do Association (AKA) as Convenor of the said drafting Committee.
The Constitution Committee has accordingly drafted and
prepared this Amended Constitution in the light of the
Amended
Constitution of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) drafted and
prepared by the Constitution Committee of IOA, headed by Hon’ble
Mr. Justice, L. Nageswara Rao (former Judge of Honorable Supreme
Court of India) and presented this Amended Constitution of Arunachal
Karate-Do Association (AKA) before its Annual General Body Meeting
held on 25/10/2022 at Arunachal Pradesh along with the Election Bye-
Laws as a part and parcel of the Amended Constitution of the
Association (AKA).
Arunachal Karate-Do Association (AKA), adopts, enacts and
gives to themselves this 1
st Amended Constitution in their Annual
General Meeting (AGM) held on the 25th day of October’2022, which is
drafted and prepared by the Constitution Committee of AKA, in the light of the
Amended Constitution of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) with a view
to achieve its aims and objectives within the purview and parameters of
the Amended Constitution.
Arunachal Karate-Do Association (AKA) shall henceforth,
abide by this Amended Constitution and the rules and regulations
framed herein for the wellbeing and betterment of the sports of Karate
in the State of Arunachal Pradesh.
